Flory, Sandra and Lety are going once a month to a capacitate to make classes more active whit the kids, some thing more than share the history, do thing for the kids memorize the history whit the activities in class, so Sunday 15th Flory start whit a new dynamic, really new for her, make shapes whit balloons, also she is teaching to the kids to learn to give, they prepare a special offering for the church… they give it for our “Promise Land”.

Thanks the Lord for Flory and Dilma, that are to womans that in the very begun they think that the class for the kids is some thing hard to do, but Yesterday they show that when We are ready to make changes in our lives, God make every thing else. Because we don’t have enough room in the Church for the classes they are teaching in the Dilma’s Garage.

Since June 15th, Hannah has been teaching English in our church and two schools in our community. She has been going to La Paz Elementary school on Tuesdays and Thursdays, Valle de Nazareth Elementary on Wednesday and Fridays. In the first school she works with eleven classrooms and seven on the second one.

At church, She has also been teaching on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons for an hour. We have twenty-five people, a mix of youth and adults. We not only have been blessed with classes in a foreign language but also with the love Hannah shares with all who she teaches.

Sisiter Kim Agrellas coordinated a recreation activity for the families we help and for leaders. This was an inspiration and encouragement for our church. We also had the help from a team from United States for this activity.

These are the families who receive different blessings through our church:

1. Idalia y Andrea Mayorga. They are coming out from a family trauma. Idalia’s exhusband is in jail for abuse to her and her daughter. We are helping them so they can develop themselves to be better persons.
2. Dominga Zepeda This lady has eight children. One of her daughters was abused and has a six month-old baby. Some of the help we have given her is a house where to live, clothing, and some groceries for the family. The ages of the children range from 18 years-old to 3 years-old.
3. Transito Idalia Avalos: This lady was a contact from the Court House. She is handicap, she cannot walk as a result of a gunshot she received about a year and half ago. She has three children who we are helping with food and the cleaning of her house. We are praying to find a house or apartment to rent for her so she can be closer to our church and serve her better.
4. Ovidia Natareno, This is a blind lady and has Young children. They are fifteen, eleven, and nine year old. Two of the work to help support the family.
5. Lina Santos. This lady is raising and educating four childre who do not belong to her. She is an elderly lady, eighty-three years old, and works cooking food to sell so to supply the needs of the family. The kids are children of a couple that left to go to United States and they do not help with the support of the children.
6. Isabel Umaña, This is a new lady living in our community. She came from Guatemala City because of threats from gang member.
7. Cleidy Amado Lucano, She is a single mother with a very hard past. Now, she is coming out from a period of depression due to the violence she received at home for many years. We are taking care of her oldest daughter. She takes care of the two youngest children. She takes them to a daycare and works at a clothing factory during the day. She receives encouragement, emotional support, and also spiritual support and advice.

Normaly, my wife works in with all these families, during these last few weeks Neftalí and Lety Yo chave been working with them.

We have this activity every Saturday morning with a breakfast to drunk people.

It was a great blessing to see men receive Christ in their hearts. Some of them are already living a life of freedom from alcohol. It pleases us watch how they are a blessing to others now.

The meetings are a blessing of unity in the work for the kingdom in our church. We wish to keep sharing and touching the lives of many.

Prospero is a man that God has raised from alcoholism in the streets. Now, he is a mason, working hard every day, and is an inspiration to other that are trapped in alcoholism.

Thanks to God, we had this wonderful opportunity to watch the body of Christ working together. We also thank to all the brothers and sisters that helped us with the buying the materials needed. Thanks to Liga de Vida Nueva, Kim Agrellas, Chad Smith, Paul Bruckbauer, and others that we have not met yet and sent your help through the people already mentioned. Thank you.

We had the opportunity to witness one of the strongest eruptions of volcanic ash and stones. We also were witnesses of the damages that our community received from the disasters.

At the same time, we helped cleaning roofs, house interiors, and streets in our community, and everything was done with our own resources.

It was very exciting to see our youth and adults working together to help lessen the weight of the aftermath effects.

After the eruption, we had very strong storms from Agatha that made the situation worse for the poor families in the surrounding of our church.

So again, we went to help clean the streets, sidewalks, and roofs that had been helped previously.

We had the blessing of a team from US. They came to help us as contact through Steve Osborn. They cleaned roofs and streets as well.

As part of the project, we helped a lady named Hilda Mosquito. Her septic tank caved in making a hole of 30 meters deep (about 90 feet). Thanks to God, this family started assisting to our church now.

It was a blessing to have the ash from the volcano around. We used it to help fill the hole of the house. We carried the sand from the streets to the hole and helped fixing the floor of the house..

On the picture, brother Neftali Yoc was tied with a rope to his waist (for safety porpuses of course). He was helping getting the sand compated to the ground. He also was getting it ready for cement for the floor. Thanks to God, we had the experience of brother Patricio López.

We went to “Aguas Calientes” (Hot Waters), a small pool area with hot springs near Antigua Guatemala.

We had a small devotional before the baptisms and we rejoiced together as church.

We had several friends and relatives that accompanied us to our spiritual party. We rejoiced in this activity of obedience and testimony.
